How it works
Upload a photo
People, pets, products or cars — anything with a clear main subject works.
Subject sharp, background blurred
The subject is cut out and placed over a strongly blurred copy of the original background.
Download
Keep the blur, or switch to a colour, gradient or your own photo before downloading.
When to blur the background
Portrait mode, after the fact
Give photos from older phones or wide lenses the shallow depth-of-field look.
Hide a messy room
Keep the setting but make clutter behind you unreadable.
Protect privacy
Blur people, number plates or places in the background before sharing.
Draw the eye
Make a product or a person stand out in social posts and listings.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change how strong the blur is?
Not yet — the blur strength is fixed for now. You can switch to a solid colour, a gradient or your own background image instead.
Does it work with group photos?
The model keeps the main subjects. People further back may be treated as background and blurred; use the Restore brush to bring them back.
Will hair look natural?
Usually yes. For curly or flyaway hair, the HD model gives smoother edges.
