Convert HEIC to JPG

iPhone photos in HEIC format don’t open everywhere. Turn them into ordinary JPGs in your browser, in batches, without uploading them anywhere.

How it works

01

Add HEIC files

Drop in .heic or .heif files from your iPhone, iCloud or AirDrop. Select many at once if you like.

02

Converted on your device

Each photo is decoded in your browser and saved as JPG at quality 90, which is hard to tell apart from the original.

03

Download

Save the JPGs one by one or as a ZIP. Pick PNG if you need a lossless copy.

Why HEIC causes trouble

Windows and Android

Many Windows PCs need an extra paid codec to open HEIC, and plenty of Android apps can’t read it at all.

Websites reject it

Upload forms, marketplaces and government portals usually accept JPG and PNG only.

Nothing leaves your device

Your photos are converted locally. Handy for personal pictures and documents you’d rather not upload to a stranger’s server.

Stop it at the source

On an iPhone, Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible makes the camera save JPG from now on.

Frequently asked questions

Is converting HEIC to JPG lossless?

Not strictly, since JPG is a lossy format. At quality 90 the difference isn’t visible in normal use. If you need a lossless file, choose PNG; it will be several times larger.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The HEIC decoder is downloaded to your browser once and runs there. Your photos are never sent to our servers.

Why does the first conversion take a few seconds?

Most browsers can’t read HEIC on their own, so the decoder (about 1 MB compressed) loads the first time you add a HEIC file. Safari can read HEIC natively and skips that step.

What about Live Photos?

You get the still image. The short video part of a Live Photo isn’t stored in the HEIC file itself.
